One of the most common mistakes we see as editors has to do with character or people’s names. So maybe a character’s name is really Ritchie, but the reviewer spells it Richie. Or maybe you’re writing a review of a book on folk music and you want to talk about Woody Guthrie—but you spell it “Woodie.” We see these errors all the time, and of course it’s our job to check and double check (and triple check!) everything we see. But you can definitely make our lives easier by doing a quick check yourselves before you submit reviews.
